What do you folks do for lower abs?

Those are always the hardest to hit...

Leg raises - lie on your back, legs together, raise them up, then lower them as low as you can without touching the floor. Slooooowly repeat. Pair that with criss-cross kicks when your legs are just above the floor and that's your lower abs screaming for mercy.

Most of my ab work comes from doing compound barbell lifts such as squats and standing overhead shoulder presses. You'd be surprised at how lifting heavy while not necessarily trying to target the abs really does strengthen those buggers.

I only do a couple of isolation ab moves during the week, but I believe that most of my strength in that area comes from the compound moves.
