started a new lifestyle about 6 weeks ago.... have lost over 20 pounds already. just found mfp today... GREAT site!!!

    Congratulations on your weight loss. I have lost 13 lbs in 27 days using the calorie counter on MFP. This is an awesome site!

    i first started at 1250 calories per day and 30 minutes of cardio 5-6 times a week. hit a plateau around week 3 and talked to a friend who is a nurse. she suggested 1600 calories instead. that jump started the loss again. now i try to walk 2 miles in the morning before work (i'm not going to lie... i do that 3-4x/week) and then 30-45 minutes of intense cardio in the evenings (every day... no kidding) and a little strength training. of course, it has slowed WAAAAY down the past week or two, but it's still coming off.
  • I am new too but, I have steadily lost one pound per day but, there is no way that I will be able to eat enough food to have as many calories as they say I should be consuming!!
