I have scoliosis and frequently get slipped disk. I'm not supposed to put much strain on my back or neck area.
What are some ab workouts that won't put very much strain on my back?

You don't want to do sit ups as they tend to cause strain on the lower back. Crunches are a better alternative as you keep more of your back on the floor.
I found this

gives you some more choices of exercise to try and also ones to avoid

I have a bulging disc in my lower back, and have had to be really careful with my ab workouts. Crunches with my legs straight in the air, bicycles, planks, hanging leg lifts, and in and outs worked to strengthen my back enough to try other things out.0
