Getting over a Plateau

So for the last two months or so, I haven't managed to really drop weight significantly (as I was December through March). I've been continuing my workout routine and eating well, but am starting to feel frustrated that the fat isn't shedding off as quickly as it once was. Any suggestions on how to get over this or anything I can do to kick-start losing fat again? I'm a 27 yo Male if that helps at all.

Before today I was completely 'against' the idea that the amount of protein vs the amount of carbs was relevant. I thought it was all about calories. Anyway, yesterday, I ate 35% protein (by random chance) which is a lot more than I normally eat. My calorie intake remained the same. And I finally, finally, finally, got off the plateau which I had been stuck on. And i dropped a pound.
Now, it is more probably total coincidence. And I only dropped a pound which is nothing really and could be water weight. But, at least, I stepped off the plateau! So, you could try increasing your protein intake for a couple of days, and see if it changes anything.
Otherwise, just keep doing what you are doing. Because maintaining weight is just as difficult as losing it and so at least you are maintaining while you are stuck on a plateau...0 -
Try cycling your calories. Day one and two eat less than your daily goal and then day 3 eat enough to offset day one & two. You will still be eating the same calories for the week.0

It is totally a mental game we play with ourselves. Sometimes when we hit plateaus we actually need to eat more to kick start the metabolism. I am constantly adjusting my calories.(what I call exercising my metabolism) It definitely has worked for me.
If you need any help or motivation you can join a challenge/accountability group I have on facebook, just let me know if you have any interest. You can also find me at www.destinationfit4life.com0 -
Maintaining is fantastic! Back sliding is not fun. Maybe you can change up your exercise routine. Our bodies get adjusted to the same old, same old. I went for 3 months without loosing, Then I changed from walking to Yoga and it got me off my plateau. It'll happen. Don't loose your goal.0
