Anybody around 300 lb done C25K?

I've been at it close to a month now and I still can't run 60 seconds straight. I'm at 287 now. Right now I can do 8 intervals of about 30 seconds. How long did it take you to be able to do week 1?

That said, I am already seeing results and making progress, so I'm not complaining just curious.

I can't run at all, but my non expert opinion says, as long as it takes. It's worth going slow to build up the endurance and not risk injury.

I started running last year at 290, but have never done C25K. I was working with 8 and 9 miles runs because of a tip I found when I was researching running, "slow down your pace to make your distance/time.". My guess is you might be over exerting yourself in the short distance and your muscles are not there yet.

Tonight I did two 1 mile intervals at 11:27 and 11:07. While that is not a "great" time it is better than I had last week and I will work it harder next week. Just listen to your body and find a pace that works for you and your goals.

I am currently around 350 and on about week 5. I would echo the post that said on the jog intervals just set a slow steady pace. If you feel like you can't go a minute then slow down. One of my personal goals when I started was to beat a 15 minute mile. Set some small goals and just keep working towards them.

It doesn't seem like I'm going very fast, but I will try slowing down.
