Newbie

Hi I started using MFP today and I kinda of like it. I am having a problem eating most of my calories (1,200 ). I am usually on my feet working with kids My weight is 193 and I do Zumba about 6 days a weeks. I know I should be eating more than this but I am a picky eater and can't seem to even reach the 1200 intake. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can reach my intake? I don't want to not lose weight because I am not eating enough and I don't want to harm my body. Thank you for any suggestions :)

    Have you tried protein shakes? I've heard they are great fillers, but I haven't tried them yet. I'm also having trouble finding healthy foods that I like. I've been using this site for almost a month and getting tired of eating the same fruits and veggies.

  • Oh and I also love doing Zumba, but 6 days a week? wow, that's awesome!! Do you go to a class? I have videos and the Wii Zumba. I have been outta the game for awhile, so I am trying to find the motivation to get back into it and find a routine. That's one of my biggest problems :(

    I will for the thread. Yes I go to classes for Zumba. I use to do it a home but I found it hard to get motivated and it was as much fun. So I joined my local gym and didn't realize I got a discount and all the classes are free with the membership. Also 3 days a week I try to do some cardio at the gym. I have never really been a workout kind of person, but I have started to like it and I want to make sure I am doing things right. Thank you all for the support :)
