Friends? Motivation?

I've been a member on MFP for sometime now and I very sporadically track my meals. Clearly it isn't enough to make any sort of progress. However, at the beginning of 2013 I made a promise to myself that I would become a more active and healthy person. I have since started hitting the gym (weights) two to three times a week, and I swim (laps) two times a week. After several months of this, I am starting to see the muscle tone and fat loss, but I feel like I'm not losing the body fat as fast as I want.
I say all this to say that I really need to start using MFP for more motivation and resource to lose the body fat I want in order to see the lean cut I'm looking for. So, bring on the friends and motivational pep talks and tips.

Hello! I'm new here (this is literally Day 3 for me) and looking for friends/support/etc too. I'm going to add you, feel free to add me back, but don't worry I won't be offended if you don't.
But, I thought maybe we might help each other! See, I have been religiously logging my meals/snacks/drinks/etc. and it has already made a HUGE improvement.... maybe not in weight loss but in my own understanding, knowledge and motivation. Seeing the way the app breaks down EVERY ITEM that crosses my lips by calories/fat/sugar/etc is HUGE for me. I have already started making smarter, healthier choice just in the last two days. So if you have only been logging sporadically, as you said, I suggest you really try to start doing it religiously. Make it a habit, as I am trying to. Maybe it's just me, but I really think this would help anyone make better eating decisions.
And you seem to have the working out bit down.... maybe you can help motivate my lazy butt to get to the gym!
But then, I am a newbie, what do I know? lol. Regardless, good luck with your weight loss goals!0
