    Very interesting and eye opening.

    It seems egregious on the surface, but when considering the economic impact of sports it makes sense.

    For example, some college football programs drive local economies and commerce.

    oh, nevermind, I guess they didn't take into account ALL 3 or 4 public positions held by one person...

    most college coaches are paid from multiple funding sources. Guessing how the contracts are structured is why almost every state isn't "football coach".

    I guess, but as far as I know, NJ's not exactly known for their ....basketball...??? But maybe that's why they're paying them so much....

    Yep. I wouldn't want to be a coach at that level. Time commitment would be incredible.
