Looking for input - No-Soy, No-Whey is what I am looking for...
Also, I don't care for flavored as I would be adding it in to things I flavor myself, so unflavored is preferred.

Looking for a high quality pea/hemp combo with good protein to calorie percentage.

You can custom order from True Nutrition online. They are very inexpensive.

True Nutrition's gemma pea/brown rice protein is good. It's a little too gritty to mix with straight up liquid (for me, anyway), but I love it blended into a smoothie or stirred into oatmeal.

Garden of Life make a nice variety of non-soy and non-whey proteins...

I like the RAW chocolate protein...I add unsweetened vanilla almond milk...

Most of them that I have tried are a little gritty unless you use a blender to mix them but its not bad....

I would avoid pea protein to start with, it tastes absolutely vile unflavoured and even when you add sweetener and cocoa it's horrible. I almost threw up the first time I had pea protein - and I have a pretty good tolerance of bad food. Nothing can prepare for you the most gruesome tasting things in this world.

I would also avoid soy. Whether it's scientific fact or not, it's soya generally agreed that soya is not good for testosterone levels. The last thing you want to do is lower them from what they already are. I've not tried brown rice or hemp protein but from what I've heard it tastes okay when it's flavoured.

Are you allergic to whey? If you are, then I would highly recommend egg protein powder, which is a fantastic source of pure protein.

    Hi :-)

I have used in the past:
Manatobia Harvest HempPro70 - It's terrible tasting on it's own and needs chocolate or fruit to cover the taste up. But it was really good - it was just on the expensive size. - It's green and has a strong nutty flavor.

I have used LifeBasics - Chia/Pea/Hemp Protein Mix in Unsweetened Vanilla - It was good. It's mixed well with my flax/hemp milk. It was expensive.

Currently I'm using NutraSumma Pea - Unflavored/unsweetened - it's really good and the tub was the largest it has 35 servings in the container the others had about 15. It's got 20g of protein. They had flavored ones I just like unflavored unsweetened things. It literally has no flavor at all.

Hope this helps. I'm allergic to soy and dairy so feel free to check my diary.

I second this. I'm currently using Vanilla Chai, but I like the Chocolate too.

Also, many health food stores carry the single packets which give you the option to buy & try a small amount before committing to a whole container. That's how I found my first protein powder years ago, I just bought 8-9 different kinds and tried them.

Yeah, also you can email the company and ask them to send you a sample to try it.

Also if you have a Sprouts by you, they guarantee all their stuff; if you bought there and don't like it you can return it even if it's open.
