How would you plan a 2600 cal day?

If I have a high burn day, I try to spread the calories out. Like, add a few hundred to both breakfast and lunch, and maybe have an extra snack. It's a good time to declare a pizza night, too. It doesn't seem to take too much planning, though--I frequently eat over 2000 calories, so 2600 isn't that much of a stretch.

    Love pizza!

Breakfast- French toast, glass of milk. Or pancakes and bacon.
    Snack- chocolate chip cookies.
Lunch. 12 oz chicken breast with veggies. Desert: NY Cherry cheesecake icecream.
    Snack-fruits
Dinner: Medium rare steak, with garlic mashed potatoes and roast veggies. Wine.

How do you get that high without going way high on sodium, as many of the "tastier" high fat foods (cheese and "regular" nut butters as examples) are also rather high in sodium? I'm having a hard time getting to 1400 (when my goal is in the 1500-1600 range)

Light breakfast, normal lunch and whatever food I've been craving (burger or pizza) for dinner with some ice cream.

Going high on sodium from time to time isn't bad. Athletic people actually should have higher sodium intakes. Nothing wrong with a high sodium day especially if you are drinking water, just know the scale will be up for a day or two.

I dunno... I'm stuffed by the time I reach 2000-2200. I dunno how I'd cram 2600 in there.

That is a lot of food, I don't think I ate that much during the holidays, much less on a normal day.

There are plenty of times when I eat that much. It's pretty easy to eat that much. And I only weigh 100 pounds. I'm sure people that are trying to lose weight ate that much or more before weight loss.

    I don't worry about sodium

Don't get me wrong I could do this in one meal if I wanted to. I just want some inspiration on how people would use it. I enjoy food but my days have become boring and boring isn't fun.

Oh, I understand. I was mostly just responding to people that were saying how difficult it would be to eat that much.

Unless you've got a medical problem and need to watch sodium, I wouldn't worry about. Since I do have to, I read a lot of food labels and compare what's the lowest, usually switching out foods. Corn tortillas toasted to replace commercial (Tostitos for me) tortilla chips and croutons in salads, Swiss cheese in sandwiches, home made pasta sauce instead of Ragu; you get the drift.

2600 is slightly above maintenance these days and since I have HBP, I'd probably stuff a banana, walnuts, and chocolate in there.

I just never understand that complaint. Guess I will be a fit chick with a fat chicks appetite.

You can look through my diary for the past week - I'm on a 2 week maintenance calorie break. My calories have been pretty close 2600 since last Friday; 2600 glorious, beautiful calories :flowerforyou:
