I am really struggling to figure out the calories on some food for instance today my boyfriend made a mexican dish called tiritas is kind of like ceviche, is tilapia fillets cooked in lime juice with lots of onion, jalapeno peppers (raw), cilantr and cucumbers and you put it on a tostada and top it off with hot sauce..... omg they are so awsome just cant figure out. The calories and thats a potential pig out lol.... i will try to avoid it thou but it will be hard!!!

Try the My Recipe" feature on myfitnesspal. I've used it and it works great for figuring out custom foods.

Yep, what she said. I use the "recipe" feature for anything that I eat more than once -- add all the ingredients just once (takes a few minutes but you're set after that) and voila -- you can enter the food whenever you encounter it.

Oh thank you guys i didnt know about that feature i will try it!!!
  • I agree with the recipe suggestions. I even added things to it like tacos and fajitas, etc since I make mine just about the same every time. Makes it so much simpler next time.

You just need to account for EVERY ingredient in a recipe and then the number of servings the recipe made and the food log recipe builder does the rest. It really is quite wonderful!!

    The food sounds good too!!
