does anyone else have this problem? if i don't start my day with a workout i tend to eat a lot more and not be able to control (or care about) what i eat. and even if i fit in a workout later i am still starving and want to eat a lot more. if my day starts out with a workout i eat only about 1000 calories or less but trust me when i say its plenty- mostly veggies so i feel very full. but am i the only one with this problem?
and yes i know if thats the way i am i should just start my day with a workout but sometimes its not possible! like today so currently i feel guilty lol

Lately I've been working out in the mornings and i noticed that about myself.
i did insanity at 5am but didn't eat breakfast until 9am! they other day i also didn't eat much.0 -
Same here! Exercise is a great appetite suppressant. I've been getting up every morning and doing the wii fit. I think it gets you in the right state of mind for the rest of the day.0

If I workout first thing in the morning, I drink WAY more water through out the day. I tend to want to eat healthier and make better food decisions because I don't want to ruin what I have already done. I have been waking up to work out in the morning for a couple of months now, and if I don't wake up I feel terrible for the whole day. Plus, if I sleep in after 6 I'm not allowed to have coffee (my rule) and I looove my coffee, so it's my motivation to get my workout in---well, that, and I want to be fit! ha!!0

OMG this is exactly what happened to me yesterday! It was a "rest day" so I only did 30 mins cardio and was absolutely starving in the afternoon! Kept picking at things that I wouldn't normally do! I wonder why this is?!
Glad I'm not alone though!

Yeah, I have this same effect. Which is frustrating for me, because I'm a firm believer in the importance of rest days (my workout poison of choice is running, and if I run every single day I have absolutely nothing left for my long run...plus all those little aches and pains that are a normal part of working out just never. go. away). It's a double-whammy: on a rest day, I don't work out in the morning, so I'm hungrier all day. But, I haven't worked out, so I have fewer calories to "spend". Argh!
I recently decided to try to just eat the same number of calories every day, rather than adjusting based on my burn. I chose a number that is somewhere between my "no exercise" number and the number I'm allowed on days when I do a typical workout. I still end up consuming the same number of calories per week, but instead of eating 1200 calories one day and 1900 the next, I'm eating about the same number every day.
I hope it works, because I just can't do 1200 calorie days, especially without a workout to keep me from wanting to eat. I chose a bad time to start it, though...my hormones are wreaking havoc with my system right now. I have had no control. But I'm feeling better today, so maybe it'll work better now.0
