Ask someone if they have cancer?

My neighbor lady and I often come across each other running errands or she walking her dog while Im going for a run. But I had not seen her in a while. I saw her today and she looked really sick. She had her head covered with a scarf and a hat. I had a strong gut feeling that it was as a result of chemo, but was too afraid to ask. Wonder if its ok to ask someone if they were sick without offending them.

    I dont think its right to ask. Cancer is a personal, and tough, thing to go through. Im sure she doesnt want to be reminded that she looks ill.

    Just ask her how she's doing. If she wants to bring up if she's sick or not is up to her.
