Wanting a New Treadmill

I got rid of my old treadmill last year--very cheap model I had for like ten years. It was also uncomfortable to run on because it was so narrow. Due to this I thought I hated running on the treadmill, so mostly I run outside or on an indoor track.
This year campground that we go to got a new treadmill and I've discovered I love running on a good treadmill too. Very smooth and actually makes the run relaxing. We live in the country so most of my running is done on the road, and it's not safe to relax too much--always watching for cars.
Soooo I'm thinking of breaking down and getting a new one. Do your love or hate your treadmill and what type is it. How much did you pay? From what I can tell I would need to save about $2000 for a nice one--
So in a nutshell, tell me about your favorite treadmill or ones to avoid!
Thanks!

I'll give ya a bumpie.
I have a Life FItness F1 programmable treadmill that I got for $1800 a few years back It's a great treadmill except it doesn't go fast enough. Only goes up to 10 mph. I NEVER thought I would go that fast, but now I do want to go faster than that on my MIIT runs (Medium Intensity Interval Training ) Now I wish I had thought about that beforehand.
Other than that, it is fantastic. I love how I can make custom programs on my computer and load them via a USB thumb drive. That is my favorite feature. I used the standard programs for a long time and then determined how I liked to work out and customized it to make me happy.

Tom beat me to it. I second the LifeFitness. It's definitely on my wish list that I am saving up for. I used one at the gym all the time and it's the only one I've found to mimic outdoor running, with all the differnet programs on it.0

I don't have a tread mill. I have a great elliptical. I used the website treadmill doctor to get reviews of treadmills. The website breaks them down by cost helping you get the best equipment for your money.0

We bought ours about three years ago -- it's a Lance Armstrong Treadmill (didn't buy it for the name or looks but did so after a lot of consumer reports research), and we love it. Both of us run on it regularly and have put hundreds of miles on it. It's still holding up well and solid (no rattles or jiggles and the motor is still running strong). It was about $1400 regular price but we got it for something like $999. Worth every penny. Bought it at ****'s Sporting goods in Frisco, Texas. The ONLY bad things about it was (1) that it took awhile to put together (not a long time but longer than we'd anticipated) and (2) it's really heavy to move. It's a commercial quality machine and I cannot move it by myself (and I'm stronger than the average gal). The directions warned that it was a "two man move" and that turned out to be true, despite the wheels and design. So ... it's a bit of a production to get it into the garage (out of the living room) when we're having a party and need the extra space. If you don't want that, then it's not for you, but if you're okay with that, I'd highly recommend it.1
