Start today or no results

For months I've been saying "Okay! I'm starting tomorrow! I'll lose this 27 pounds by June 13th! I can do it!"
I wasn't determined enough. It's now May 12th. I have a month and a day to lose SOMETHING. Obviously not 27 pounds though.
My goal is at least 8 pounds. If I could just be in the 160's again I'd be happy.
I currently weigh 172.5 and I want to weigh 145 but if I could just reach the 160's for now that'd be awesome.
So 1200-1300 calories daily, 20-30 minutes working out and 8 pounds will poof, right?
I was going to try 30 DAY SHRED and people have great results but people usually only lose 2-5 pounds. Of course because they are building muscle.
I looove muscles and want them as well but this goal? I've had a long time. And though I won't be even close to my goal? I'd like to get at least 1/3 of the way.
So I really need friends who will motivate me and get me through these workouts and calorie-limits!!! Anyone in?

    Hey :)
    I am with you!
My goal is 145 too and I'm currently at 163.4 pounds. Just as you, I'm aiming for 1200 net calories/day, and just bought the 30 day RIPPED, which I plan to start tomorrow. I'm also doing my own version of the 30 day squat challenge, incorporating arms and abs (because I have fat arms and no abs...well you can't see 'em!), and extra cardio because [like you] I need to lose poundage to keep me going and 2 pounds over a month will NOT be inspiring. 20 minute HIIT, jump rope, walking the dog, and a couple longer cardio workouts.
I'll support you if you support me!

I def recommend the 30 day shred - because it is such a short workout, it is feasible to incorporate other cardio and strength training during the week if you like. Its true that most people see the progress from the 30 day shred in inches, if not weight - and trust me, I am a scale junkie - but I know that really, its inches that count - not what the scale says. Building muscle helps burn more calories in your daily activities as well - so if you work out and eat healthy, (and allow yourself a treat here and there - and def take rest days), you will absolutely get there. I don't think (unless you have a lot of weight to lose) it is probable to expect an 8 pound drop in a month, but I'm if you really give it your all, you could drop a pound a week! And that is a great achievement. Think about it, if you stick with this, really let it become a part of your life - than by JULY 13 you could be in the 160s. You absolutely can do this.
