Just another newbie! :)

Hey mfp, I'm a girl who used to be pretty active - I used to spend hours at the gymnastics gym, and hours in cheer practice, on top of spending a lot of time at our local community center working out every week. Long story short, I was injured and went through a bit of depression, but I woke up the other day and realized just how sedentary I've become. I'm not happy with my weight, but that's about to change!
Current goals are to
a - start watching my diet a LOT more. I sleep weird hours, and always find myself nommin' down on whatever I can find in the middle of the night - that's gotta stop!
b - get back into decent physical shape. I miss gymnastics, a lot. I'd like to get back to the point where I can start up again, and feel in control of my body!
It's 11:11 am and I'm feelin' lucky. Fingers crossed I can hold myself to this new diet/ fitness challenge!

I was a cheerleader and did gymnastics too! I miss those days when you worked out like 2 hours a day! sigh0

Hi.. Welcome MFP!! You can do this, and if you want it badly enough, you'll get there. You've made a great first step in finding the MFP community. We're a supportive bunch with the same things to lose (A bunch of pounds!!) So stop dreaming about getting back to gymnastics and lets work towards it together. :happy: :happy: :happy:0
