Hello everybody!
I'm a professional dancer mom of 2 babies, I'm getting back in shape (half way there) and I'm at a point where I want to go back on stage, but most of my costumes don't fit me.
I was trying to sell them, but I was so skinny that I'm having trouble finding people who can wear them :S So, If I'm not working I have no budget for new ones.
So I don;t know what to do, shall I be patient and see if in the end I will be able to wear them again? Is it possible to be the same size you were before being a mom?
I need to lose like 3 or 4 more inches in my hips and 2 in the bra, and then they will close.
I can't wait to dance again! But I need to wear something LOL!
What would you do???
Thanks!

I would hang on to themfor now, you never know . You can always try again to sell them latter to get money for new outfits. Good luck on getting back into your costumes and your dancing0

Let me just say this... I just had my second child 4 months ago and this weight has come off a whole lot easier than the first. still have 9 more pounds to go, but I can fit into to pre-pregnancy clothes. unfortunately, i can't fit in to pre-pre-pregnancy clothes! meaning the clothes i wore BEFORE the first child! i did gain 70 pounds with the first and was able to lose about 50 of it and it took almost 3 years....then gained 42 with the second. they say your body will never be quite the same after carrying and having children and i have to agree with them...whoever they and them are! but coming really really close is still a win in my book!! good luck and don't give up!!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I have to tell you. I weigh less, on the scale, than I did before my first child (I have 2 teenagers) but there is NO WAY those old clothes would ever fit. My breasts will never be the same size. There might be hope for my waistline, but it would require "tummy-tuck" surgery.
On a brighter side, however, I know people who are skinny as sticks who have children, so clearly my experience is not universal I have heard that your chances of regaining your pre-baby body is better if you do it right away. So see if you can beat the odds.
Good luck!0 -
I honestly believe it depends on the person. I weigh less now than I did two babies ago, and can fit into all of my clothes. The only difference really is stretchmarks on my belly and my skin is a tiny bit loose there, but it is firming up as I lose weight. I am on here to get to the weight I was when I got married. You never know til you try, I say hang onto them.0

Thanks for your reponses ladies!
I think I look better now versus when I was at the same point with my first baby, (c-section) Im paying closer attention to diet instead of just exercise, and I'm losing the belly fat.
Like you say I think it depends on the person, I know ladies that went back their clothes no problem and others that end up with wider hips. Wish I know in what category I will be LOL
I will give it some more time, I do have a couple of costumes that fit, I might look like a portrait for a while, but Oh well.
Maybe I just need a very good seamstress who works some magic with my costumes.
I'll keep up working hard!0
