in need of a work out change!

Hey guys I've hit that workout rut again and just in time for summer too! Anyone have any good ideas on different workouts I can do to switch up my routine?

Thanks!

I'd need to know what you do now in order to suggest something different.

Find a good strength training routine to do 2-3 times a week and a cardio class you like.

i would recommend compound lifts - deadlifts, squats, over head press, chin ups/pull ups, bench press , etc - and then build a program around these moves where you are hitting legs/arms/back/shoulders three times a week ..and mix in your cardio/belly dancing...

Oh - and do you do private belly dancing? LOL sorry could not resist...

Definitely add in some strength training. Perhaps try a spinning class or a different type of dance class. Change up your running route, find some new scenery.

You've got cardio covered ..... find some kind of resistance training you enjoy

collagevideo.com has video clips & reveiws of hundreds of workout DVDs ..... the reviews will tell you what equipment is required. If you are not sure where to start .... check your local library for DVDs .... this will allow you to test drive workouts

My favorite instructors (at the moment) .... Kelly Coffey Meyer, Ellen Barrett, and Chris Freytag

Kelly has a series 30 Minutes to Fitness .... weights, body weight-strength training, kickboxing, bootcamp.... lots of different kinds

Ellen Barrett is typically a "fusion" type style .... combines pilates, dance & yoga. Appears easy when you're doing it ... but I feel it the next day

I have a DVD I really like that has 15min interval blocks broken down by body "region" ie arms, legs, core, total body. I use it a few times/week.

This is the one I use: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Gold-s-Gym-Sculpt-and-Burn-DVD-Kit/21811912

You definately get a workout - I am exhausted after every workout with this.
