Tell my laziness to stfu and go on my treadmill. The feeling you get after exercising when you really didn't want to is an awesome feeling!0

I reward myself immediately after. If I don't feel like going for a hike, I tell myself "as soon as you get home, you can have a hot shower, get your pj's on and curl up in bed with your book", if I don't go, I don't get to curl up with my book. I have to do something like laundry, or picking up dog poo instead.0

This and you take 30 minutes to get dressed because there's only one pair of pants that fit and you wore then the last 3 days and have to run them through the dryer and spray Febreze® on them so they don't smell like sweaty socks.0 -

Hah no kidding!0 -
This happens to me if I go home before I work out, so I make sure I do not sit on the couch. I immediately put on my work out clothes and get going, no time to make up reasons to not work out. The mental part of proper diet and exercise is often times more difficult to overcome than the physical0

Try to separate attitude from behavior.0

I tell my brain to take a seat and let my body do what it needs to do. By then end my brain is usually like "WHHHOOOO GIRL, You knew exactly what I needed. Thanks!"0

Think about this -- you joined MFP 2/8, and you posted 15 pounds lost. Get it? :flowerforyou:0

You ask yourself,
"Are you a quitter?"
Are you really gonna give up now?
Are you gonna let flab and laziness best you or are you gonna be strong and blast through the wall, pushing yourself to limits you never thought you could reach?
Are you gonna give up the battle?
Are you gonna lose the war?
Or are you gonna put those gym shorts back on and toss your head in the air and climb another part of the mountain before the days end?
It's up to you.
The choice is all yours and rest solely in your hands.0 -
Change it up!
It's easier when a video or piece of equipment is new ..... after the "newness" wears off I'm just left with "well do it." I got to a point where I hated the treadmill ..... now it's ok .... but I switch it up.
In the meantime try something new ..... go to your library & get a video, rent a Wii fitness game from Redbox, if you typically workout indoors ..... go outdoors .... once you "start" something it's easier to finish.0
