Does anyone have experience w/ turkey brats?
I miss having brats (the pork ones) but thought this
summer I might adapt to a turkey one .. any opinions
of the better brands? Thanks for your input. :)

Honeysuckle White, Yumm!, I really enjoy their sweet Italian sausage links on a regular basis and imagine their brats are equally as good too. I find them at the supermarket meat departments where I shop.

I had the kroger brand with jalepenos, They were actually really good. I like a brat sometimes, and I LOVE kraut. Good excuse.

I like the Johnsonville chicken sausages and there was a brand at Walmart that was good. They were something with chicken/apple/gouda I think, but I can't recall the brand...very tasty though.

Johnsonville are very good. In my area we have Giant Eagle grocery stores and they have a brand called al fresco, which are delicious. I love to grill them, slice and have on a salad. Good luck

You might want to look at your local butcher shops. A lot of them have started making their own chicken and turkey sausages. The one by me makes a spinach feta that is out of this world!

Are you not eating pork brats because you gave up pork?

If so, be careful and read labels.
A lot of sausages, kielbasas, and such have a pork or beef casing so you really need to read the labels.
Different flavors within brands have different casings - like there's 2-3 types of Johnsonville I can eat but most I can't.

I was just ,looking for the leanest, best tasting option. I do love pork
but believe poultry meat is leaner . I might be wrong? Idk, also lower
cal is appealing as I have a caloric budget. :)
