So I was expressing to my husband today how I feel I'm no longer an 11 but full blown 9... pants size that is.. So he thought it a good idea for me to try some of my old pants to see what now fits.

Lets see.. I had 3 5's, 2 7's, and 2 9's oh yes... and my size 3 skinny jeans.. As you can see I've been all over the place in sizes.. largest being a 16 from when I started MFP journey..

Of these sizes, I fit in 1 5, 2 7's and 1 9..... like... really?? Goes to show you how frustrating it can be! ... so what am I then... do I average them out?!... guess its' time to just start buying the jeans that go by the measurement?! I guess the plus is I have more pants I can wear besides these 11's that have been falling off of me!

I hate how different manufactures make their sizes inconsistent I am in a 16 now from a 24 but sometimes when I try on a 16 it doesnt fit and sometime when I try on and 18 it doesnt fit but then sometime I try on an 18 or 16 and it's way too big...why cant a 16 be a 16 no matter what? anyway just thought I'd share that I have the same frustrations as you and by the way I have to give you snaps on fitting into your old jeans no matter what the label says and also for not smoking for 206 days!!!! go you!!!

I go by dress sizes- those are GENERALLY more consistent. You'll probably never be just one size because jean sizes with always vary by brand. Its the pits, but the way it is. I like going with brands who have their sizes by measurements.
