Hello out there! I read about this website on a friends blog. Here I am! I have been off and on the weight-loss train pretty much my whole life. I have quite a bit to lose, and have just the thing to motivate me to do it...my daughter! I gave birth a little over 2 weeks ago to our sweet baby, Millie. After 36 hours of labor, a C-section was a must, which will put a damper on physical exercise for the next 4 weeks. I plan to start out slow by watching my calories, then add in exercise once I get the okay from my doctor.
I am just your average southern girl...I love my husband, love my baby, love my family and LOVE to eat yummy food! I am open to any and all encouragement sent my way and I appreciate you for it!
Thanks a bunch!

I'm pretty much on the same boat, except my daughter is about to turn 6 months. This website is the best! really makes you think twice about what you are about to eat and makes you want to achieve your daily goal. It's super simple to fill out too. Good luck with your weight loss, dont be like me and gain more weight on maternity leave than during the pregnancy but you're on here now so you're moving in the right direction! good luck0

Hi! Welcome! My daughter just turned 5 months old and I started MFP back in early june so I'm in the same boat. I'm sure you're just as dedicated and determined to lose the weight as the rest of us so you'll do great! And good for you for starting now with watching your calories. Congrats on your new baby! Cherish every moment they grow way way too fast :sad:0

Welcome to MFP! You're going to do great! We're here to support you! Congrates on your little one! C-sections are tough, I had two of them. Don't even think of exercise right now. Most of us want to see results in the mirror and what you cook up and eat everyday will show you those results. Exercise is for later, after you've conquered the whole eating right thing. I lost my first 28 pounds with just eating right. Good luck to you and your family! Feel free to add me to your friends list for daily support!0

Hello!! We had our babies at around the same time! I had my little boy (my third baby, already have a little boy who is almost 5 and a little girl who just turned 3!) on July 17, so I am in the exact same boat as you are! I have already lost the baby weight because Ididn't gain much, but I now weigh 233 lbs, so I need to lose it! It's weight that I gained with my first baby and just haven't been able to lose it! Ug!! I sent you a friend request, maybe we can help each other!!!!0
