My dog ate my fitbit

I just need to rant for a minute because I just took my fitbit off in preparation for putting it in its wrist thingy for sleep mode. I laid it on the bed and got distracted reading email and the next thing I knew it was in several pieces on the floor chewed up by that sweet dog featured in my profile photo. I've had it about 6 weeks. I am just so annoyed. Right now Abby is hiding under the bed as she knows tat I'm not happy. I am so addicted to my fitbit, I don't know if I'll be able to get out of bed and walk around tomorrow :(

I bet that was Abby's ultimate plan. To get you to lie in bed all day with her.

But surely she knows I'm a teacher. I must get up and go to school or we won't have a house to live in or nice dog food or toys to play with.
  • Shes super cute!! I TOO AM A FITBIT ADDICT :) I feel like my whole day is off when I dont use it.. I dont use it for sleep often because Ive found it to not be too accurate but I do use it DAILY and from the time I wake up until the time I lie down... Im constantly checking it!! I LOVE IT!
  • SherryTeach, I feel your pain. My fitbit One is in my dog's belly as we speak. I should have known better, my wedding ring has gone places that I've never been. Thankfully when my husband found it in the back yard with a metal dector. Then had it professionally cleaned!

Email Fitbit Customer Service. Since it is less than a year old they might replace it for free.

I need advice well my dog ate my fitbit one pn Saturday and well he is a Dachshund :( I called customer service and they are replacing it for free. but my question is more related to the dog I wen to the vet and she said that she was concerned if there was a battery however she could not see the battery it in the Xrays, She did see the shape of the fitbit and it is still in the stomach. So I guess my question is if you did something or do they eventually get it out of their system? Or should I pay around $1200 to have it surgically removed HELP I REALLY NEED HELP To decide what to do with my pet. He is acting normal but I am just overly concerned. Thanks :)

Looking on the bright side, at least you can find out just how active your dog is!

Please get your dog to the vet asap!!!!
  • I see this is a little old, but I just got a fitbit force a few weeks ago and the other night it fell off my wrist while I was napping on a friends couch and their puppy chewed it up. Naturally, I'm devastated and didn't think they'd replace it for something like that so I haven't called or anything yet. I was just wondering what you said to customer service?

Thanks a lot, I'd love nothing more than to have my boyfriend, Fitbit, back on my wrist! :P

    Your dog is precious!

Pets are little rascals. I've lost an HRM band as well as a laptop charger to mine. Turns out little teeth marks affect my heart rate reading....But its impossible to stay angry at them.

Hope you can get a replacement soon :drinker:
