Lack of motivation lately.

I'm 18 years old, 4'7'' feet tall and 146.5 pounds.
I've been trying to walk anywhere from 2-6 miles a day. I did 5-6 miles a day before my legs decided they didn't want to carry me for such distances anymore. I want to get down to 125 by September or at least lose a few inches off of my stomach. I don't know my exact measurements, though.
I started this exercise routine about a month ago and besides the number on the scale, I'm not noticing much difference when I look in the mirror. This causes lack of motivation, which I have plenty of lately.
I'm not sure what help I am looking for exactly. I am currently staying with my mother and am unemployed, and she doesn't buy healthy at all. There's nothing else here so I eat what's available, in moderation. However it makes me hate myself afterwards.
Is there anything I can do to help kick start motivation again? Any recommended exercise routines?

On your other thread someone is recommending weight training. This will help build muscle, which will in turn help burn more fat, and let you see the changes you are looking for. Weight training will help kick it up a notch. Do you do the same routine all the time? If so switch it up, our bodies adapt to the same routine very quickly.
As for food, i would make a plan ahead of time with the food that you do have this way you can head off cravings and such. Get your mom onboard too and see if she can try buying healthier food or go into the store with her and make helpful suggestions

I agree that weight training can help you lose inches. Are you using a food journal after you eat? If not maybe that would help. When you log what you eat you are more aware of what you are putting into you body especially if it is calorie or carb loaded. Don't be discouraged & don't give up! We all have those moments when we feel unmotivated...find an exercise that you enjoy!0
