Depends on how sore. First time I did it, I ended up taking three days off because I could barely move. If it hurts to get up or down from a sitting position, go up a single step, or your groan when you do move, don't be afraid to take a day off and let those poor muscles heal. Drink plenty of water, eat good protein, go for a walk if you can.

If you're just stiff, able to move without the groaning, then you could probably do it again today, even if you have to take it easier through some of the moves if you're sore.

But no shame in taking a day off!

I am pretty sore... Especially after I sit down... But once I start moving around, I'm ok... But going down stairs hurts like a mother!

If you're sore - keep going
If you're in pain - rest

I felt it everytime I sat down or got up when I started the Shred - but it was worth pushing through. As Jillian says - it's our body adapting. That being said - I think two days should be taken off each week (for your body, and your sanity) but by throwing in another kind of exercise (yoga, walking, jogging, swimming)

How much exercise are you used to doing?
If you overdo it ..it maybe harder to go again tomorrow

I have just started level 3 today and only did each level once a day with a rest day for sure once a week and last week 2 days off...simple due to lack of time. Last week ( I measure each week) I lost .75 of an inch and since I have started 5 pounds are gone.

    Have fun with 30DS!

If you're in pain, there is nothing wrong with taking a day off. Let those muscles repair themselves. I've done the 30DS a couple times. Both times ended up taking one or two days off in between, which were near the beginning. Just listen to your body.

    Sore, keep going
    Pain, rest.

Keep in mind that for most of us, the first three days are hardest!
