Hi! I started using my fitness pal about a month ago. I cant seem to get to my 1200 calories a day, and I know i should be eating back my exercise calories. I have made a meal plan for the next couple of days and logged it into my fitness pal. Can someone give me some advice on what to add for added nutrition and calories. I was thinking yogurt or apples but then my sugars are way over. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

What is your age, weight, height, goal weight?
Are you simply not hungry enough for 1200 calories?0 -

Im 27, my weight is 140. Its not that Im not hungry enough to eat more, I just have trouble figuring what to eat more of. Ive been doing the 30 days shred for 21 days now and according to my HRM I am burning around 250 calories on a day when Im taking it easy. So I am trying to eat more the 1200 calories. Yesterday I ate terribly but usually I try to eat pretty healthy. I have a hard time not going over on sugar though0

It's so easy to get an extra 200-300 calories. An apple with laughing cow cheese is around 100, a handful of almonds is around 120, lean deli meat, sliced cheese and tomato is around 150-200. Slice of whole wheat bread with tbsp of peanut butter and a banana is around 250. Just some ideas.
I'd definitely stay away from the prepackaged lunches. You can get so much more food for that 390 calories. Looks like that was just a one time thing though.0 -
I struggle everyday to eat 1200 calories, my goal is actually higher.. but i'm happy when I get to 1200. I hit 1200 most days. My diary is open.. i cook a lot and eat lots of stuff.. I am trying to focus on protein.. but not doing so good with it most days.
Feel free to look. yesterdays dinner was stuffed chicken breast. I log things individually most of the time.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions! I went ahead and added a few of them to my meal plan0

If you're not allergic to nuts, I would probably add some in as snacks to help boost your calorie intake.
On days that you exercise, you may want to up your protein with a bit more meat and/or fish. Not only will you eat back your calories, but you're probably going to feel better and gain a little muscle as well.0 -
I see your on the 30 day shred programme, how is that working out for you?
I started it but gave up because I had to many social things going on, really just bad timing, but I want to start up again.0 -
I am loving the 30 day shred!. At first I hated it, but after getting through about the 4th day of level 1 it got so much easier. I actually look forward to working out everyday. I haven't experienced much of a weight loss but the difference in my stomach is amazing. I just started level 3 yesterday and plan to take a couple days off and then repeat the program. I really wish I would have taken before and after pictures. Maybe next round. You should give it a try!0
