Hello,
Here is another low carb recipe, this time a chocolate protein bar low in carbs and high in proteins.
Ingredients:
- 140g Whey Protein Powder (Vanilla Flavour)
- 60g Coconut Powder or Flour
- 75ml Unsweetened Almond Milk or any other low fat milk
- 60g Dark Chocolate (e.g. 81%) or any other chocolate
Servings: 6-8 bars
Instructions:
1. In a big bowl mix whey protein and coconut powders and gradually add milk - do not add all at once otherwise the mixture will become too sticky and you will have to compensate with more whey.
2. Place the dough on a rolling board sprinkled with protein powder to prevent it from sticking, form a long stick and cut into about 6 even chunks. You can form any shape you want really.
3. Melt the chocolate over a hot water, dip and rollover each chunk in it then place on a metal tray and cover the ends of the bar with a knife.
4. Place the tray into the fridge/freezer until the chocolate cools down
5. Enjoy
Nutrition (per bar):
Calories: 209
Carbs: 4g
Protein: 20g
Fat: 12g
When making a dough you can add anything you want to it to e.g. crushed peanuts, almonds any other nuts, raisins etc. You can also use a lighter chocolate if dark one is not to your liking however I've found that the dark chocolate mixes nice with the vanilla flavour and it's not too strong - it's up to you![;) ;)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/wink.png)

The chocolate on the bar looks a bit dull as I've just taken the bars out of the freezer![ ](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/tongue.png)
Good luck !!!
