Sooooo I recently got Asic's Gel Noosa Tri 8! Which are freaking bright and colorful and a ton of awesomeness in a running shoe. I posted the picture on my Facebook and got a load of HATER comments. Which I really don't care about, but my dad (who really doesn't know a lot about sports and running) told me to get "New Balance, Nike, or even Reebok". This comment honestly bewildered me! I know Asic's have won a crap-load of awards for running shoes and have been referred to me by the people at the sports store as well as my trainers. Plus from a personal preference I prefer my Asic's over any other running shoe, Nike's actually give me a shin splints.

Soooo!!!! What type of shoe do are your favorites???

Asics are my favorites and I don't see myself switching shoe brands.

My current favorite are my Mizuno Wave Rider 15s. They seem to fit my feet and running style just right. I've liked several different makes and models over the years. I don't think there is a shoe that will be great for every one. Let the haters hate.

My shoes are so not what I would ever have picked on my own off the shelf - Mizuno Wave Rider 16s. They are lavender/pink with dark purple and orange accents. Talk about bright and beautiful! I usually go for the lowest profile sneakers out there and these guys just zing. I love them though - they are so fun and energetic! Plus they have been super comfy, right out of the box. I'm about 3 weeks into them and am really happy. I was into the Saucony's that were more plain, but I love the feel of the Mizuno - they don't feel super cushioned on the bottom, and I really liked that.

I wear bad *kitten* purple and grey Asics GT-2170 W (2A) and love em. So wear what feels comfortable and works with your feet/body not everyone is the same, and just because someone doesn't know about non commecial sports brands, or sport/run specific brands they can go educate themselves

People like to feel like experts and are often snobbish about their favourite brands as a result. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel all brands are made equal, but I do feel like there are a lot of good shoes out there created by a lot of different companies. I like Saucony myself and it's what I would recommend in a shoe, but... bashing someone else's choice seems pretty silly. Shake your head and carry on enjoying your Asics!
