Favorite song to run to?

What's that one song that motivates you to keep going? Reasoning?

Mine:

"Sunshine" - Matisyahu
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_Vt4MlbM0c

It's a beachy song that makes me feel like running :) (Not to mention that he's cute to boot!)

I used to run everyday but then a back injury stopped all that, however my favorite songs for running were Womanizer by Brittney Spears (steady pace) and Kylie Monogue's Can't get you outta my head (another steady pace)

I have a couple of "power songs" that I put in my running playlist alongside other upbeat songs I like (working out is more fun when you're also rocking out!). It's like playing running roulette.

    - Survivor - Eye of the Tiger, but then again, if this song doesn't make you want to run, it's only because you're dead.
    - Mashup of B.O.B. - Beast Mode and the Prodigy - Smack My B**** Up. I don't normally like hip-hop, but the Prodigy background line makes it a little smoother, and the song is fast and pounding and makes me want to haul a**. Also, B.O.B. is a pretty clever songwriter; the cadence and the rhymes are pleasant to listen to.
    - Maroon 5 - Wake Up Call. I powerwalk during the verses and sprint for as much of the chorus as I can, because it's handily punctuated by a loud BANG.
    - Mashup of Daft Punk - Robot Rock and Beastie Boys - Intergalactic, for the same reasons as for the B.O.B./Prodigy mashup.
    - Queen - Bicycle Race. Queen just makes me smile.

Right now I'm loving to run to "Ali Bomaye" by The Game. Good, high-energy beat! Plus it's like 6 minutes long, can cover a whole mile by the time its done - well, almost, haha

The Look by Roxette. Even after nine miles and still two to go to get back to my car, it brought a smile to my face!

I love running to Justice. Particularly, Genesis. I run 10k, 5k away from my house and then back. I always play it at my half way point when I am about to start hauling *kitten* back in the direction of home.

A VERY beginning runner (who lives with nutcase marathoners and sub 6 minute half marathoners ;-)
I heard this on a commercial for running.
Actually using a HTC phone for running - it enhances the beat to run to.

My runner relatives think its a nice starting to run, running song:
I Feel So Close - Calvin Harris

(The music starts about 30 seconds into the video)

BTW, I checked out the site given below
    http://jog.fm/workout-songs
and you can enter any song - tells you the bpm.

Depends on the mood I'm in! Sometimes I need something upbeat to get me going and other times I like "angry" music to help relieve the stress I'm under. I really want to try and run to a book on tape sometime to see how that goes.

    America - Deuce
    Lose Yourself - Eminem
    Radioactive - Imagine Dragons
Race You to the Bottom - Middle Class Rut
One Step Closer - Linkin Park
    Beast - Nico Vega
    Sound of Madness - Shinedown
You're Going Down - Sick Puppies
    Sun & Moon - Above & Beyond
Let's Get Rocked - Def Leppard

These are some of my favorites right now

Famous last words, My Chemical Romance
    Given Up, Linkin Park

Near the end of runs when I'm pushing that last couple of km, these work nicely!

It always changes but right now:

Awolnation - Sail (Unlimited Gravity Remix)
Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble (remix)
    Mackelmore - Can't Hold Us
Fall Out Boy - My Songs Know What you Did in the Dark

Oh I forgot to put my reasoning. Songs that have ridiculous melodies or a ridiculous driving rhythm (ridiculous meaning goosebumbs-inducing) really tap into my adrenaline. This is purely personal though, and I know running to TSwizzle isn't everyone's cup of tea!! :)

Laugh all you want, but Britney Spears "Baby One More Time" has a great pace!

I use http://jog.fm/workout-songs and use songs that are around 96 BPM (you can search by BPM).

You can also try http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2011/01/how-to-bpm-analyse-all-of-your-mp3s-for-free/ and it will scan your iTunes library and tell you the BPM of all of your songs!

If I'm not running at BPM and doing a regular workout, my go to is Songza's "Y'All Ready For This - 90's Jock Jams" playlist (there's an app for it) at http://songza.com/listen/y-all-ready-for-this-90s-jock-jams-songza/ I mean really, I love running to Whoomp! (There It Is) and Kris Kross!

I'm sure my favorites will expand as I add more to my iPod but right now it's:
Queen "don't stop me now" (Current favorite, makes running bouncy and fun)
Kenny Loggins "danger zone" (HEY! No Judging!"
Kenny Loggins "Footloose" (Again, no judging)
Michael Jackson "Thriller", "Billy Jean", "Beat It"

Green Day, David Bowie, CCR, Journey, Fall Out Boy,

I once went for a run in the dark and a thunderstorm started in the near distance with a lot of lightning and thunder. I had on AC/DC's "Hell's Bells" and it was magical.

So many good ones!!! But lately I've been listening to The Joy Formidable's entire "Wolf's Law" Album...Love it!!! There are a few slower songs, that I can skip if I need to, but in general the driving guitar, drum and piano is awesome to run to.

"Bats" is especially good to run to.
