Restarting with 124 lbs to lose

Hi there,
I'm restarting MFP with 124 lbs to lose. Last year I went on a "doctor supervised' weight loss program and lost 60 lbs in 6 months... at which point the staff was unable to help me find a path to continue using their program without being bored so I stopped going and after a few months on my own I also stopped watching my weight despite having plenty more to lose. I've gained back all of the weight I lost and I'm more focused than ever on making my health a priority. At 5'2" and 31 years old, I don't have much of a choice. It's either I start eating less and moving more or I continue eating like a pig and slowly killing myself. I've made the choice to live the life I WANT instead of the life I'm settled on. I am not looking to collect friends here, I'm here to take care of myself. That's all. Oh, and I love Pinkie Pie.

Mmm...Pie!!!
Seriously though, you're going to do great!! Just focus on the small changes and let them add up. Have fun with it, let yourself enjoy life. Keep your goals most of the time, and don't let the slip ups define your progress.0 -

I too am on a long journey and I just lost 26 pounds in a little over a month. I need a swift kick every once in a while. Don't starve yourself and eat small meals often. That was just proven to me. I gained 3 pounds one week becuase I was not eating enough to keep my body going, so it held on to everything I gave it and stored it as fat. Then i started eating 6 meals a day with one of the them being a healthy protein and lots of veggies. then that week I lost 8. I was amazed, so I figure..... 2-3 hours I am eating veggies, hard boiled eggs, veggie burgers for lunch (they are great if you get the morningstar pizza burger or mushroom lovers) 2 of those patties with celery, cucumber, radishes, dill pickles and I am looking at a fat burning lunch at little over 300 claories and I am stuffed.
We did not put the weight on overnight, so we have to get the mind right that this is a long term process. Surround yourself with positive supportive people. Don't listen to bull**** from the so-called friends that want to shoot holes in your success. Walk away as they are not TRUE friends. Face it we are addicted to food, so I have to kick the habit. yep, I am my own worst enemy. got a long way to go too, so Hang in there.0 -

I'm not a vegan/vegetarian but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Morningstar Farms products. Their chik patties, chik'n nuggets, corn dogs... ALL amazing. The burgers I get once in a while but I do prefer regular beef whenever it's available. I actually have their maple flavor breakfast sausage patties in my freezer and have yet to try them... hoping I'll have time tomorrow morning to make one with some eggs.0
