Hi my name is Brandy and I am new to MFP. My husband and I are wanting to start a family in the near future but first I would like to loose some weight so that I can try and have the healthiest pregnancy possible. I currently need to lose about 100lbs to be in a healthy weight range(I'm 5'9 278lbs) but would like to lose at least 75lbs before trying for a baby.My doctor said I would be fine if I lost 25lbs because my blood pressure and blood work are good but I dont feel comfortable trying for a baby with only a 25lb loss. Anywho I am really looking forward to using this site and meeting new people to help me meet my goals!

Not pregnant yet and already a great mom! Thats wonderful! Another plus your doctor may not have told you, if you lose some weight, getting pregnant is easier. Also, your body wont crave sugar and salt as much which means you are feeding your baby better during your pregnancy. I think your mindset will give you a great headstart to a healthy new lifestyle to teach your child! Welcome!0
