I'm getting frustrated because I went to weight myself this morning and I weight more. I dont know what I am doing wrong.
I weight myself at the same time every morning. I have been recording everything I eat and drink. Last night it said i went under my calories but yet his morning i weight myself and I am a pound heavier. I was so upset I didnt even exercise this morning. I messaure everything I eat. I always weight myself with same amount of clothes on so i know that isnt it. When I exercise I do ended up eating more then 1200 calories. I have a goal of loosing a lot of this weight by June 26 because my daughter graduation dont want to see my family looking this way. The only thing I can think of where i might have gone wrong is I dont have a heart rate monitor so I'm estimate the calories burned doing the 30 day shred by what found on the internet. It just to me seems like 100.00 for heart rate monitor is a lot of money. I also calculate the calories burned by walking by using a sportline pedometer. Should I be doing more exercise? I do the 30 day shred twice day level 2 I just started. Thanks for any helpf I'm really feeling I like im not going to loose all this weight.

Looking at your diary, you did have around 7400mg of sodium over the last two days. High sodium can cause water retention, which may account for the extra pound.

Try not to obsess over your day-to-day weight change especially if can discourage you enough to break your fitness routine. Possibly switch to a longer period between weighing yourself (like a week).

My advice - don't weigh yourself more than once a week. I can fluctuate up to 7 pounds day-to-day but that weekly weigh in always shows a loss!

Weighing yourself daily is making you discouraged and miserable and will not help you stick with the plan. Put the scales away!

Stay positive. That is the first best thing you can do for yourself. :)<3

Now, take a look at your sodium levels; if they're high, then you will have increased water retention and the scale will naturally go up! Somewhere in an article, I read that the average American consumes more than 3000 mg of sodium a day, and the recommended intake is around 1500 mg. So that's something you might want to cut down on. Besides, high sodium levels aren't good for you anyways as they may cause high blood pressure and other problems.

I'm going to add you as a friend, so feel free to message me and we can keep each other motivated. :)

I weigh daily and sometimes more than once to get a feel for what causes the various swings. Water is a big part of it as the timing of the inflow and outflow from your digestive system. My weight loss has come in uneven amounts according to the scale even though my diet and exercise regimen has been pretty consistent. This is a big picture thing; if you are exercising and eating less than you burn each day, you are going to lose weight. IMO, the biggest cause of perceived plateaus is impatience...

EDIT - I don't disagree with the other person who recommends weighing less often, BTW. Weighing often is working for me because I am not using the swings as an indicator of trouble, just as additional info. I claim my lows as my current weight because I know that is the direction my weight is moving in and it keeps changing.

If your menstrual cycle is nearing, metabolism slows down and weight may not reduce inspite of healthy eating due to water retention...elso sodium is a big culprit .....you need to drink loads and loads of water when we have salty food...:noway:
