I am Jim
I started 8 days ago and just figuring things out. I have been on several diets and got as low as 235 lbs. I have decided to lose it slow and hopefully permanently by eating normal and watching serving sizes.

starting weight 271 lbs
goal weight 185 lbs
Goal is 2-3 lbs a week.

    Hi Jim, Welcome to MFP! Best advice I can give is don't think of this as a diet, diets have an end date, this is a lifestyle change. And track everything you eat, everything you drink. It helps. Feel free to add me if you want support :)

    Welcome to mfp... i am a newbe as well,I would like to lose 60 lbs by fall; i know it's a tall order, but with portion size controll (use salad plates instead of dinner plates), and good exercise (walking dog, and yard work) I hope to get somewhat close. You may add me if you like. let me know if you would like some motivation.
