Sorry no photos - was too horrified by flab to take one before!

It's a long time since I last tried to lose weight - about 17 years - and all I can say is what a difference MFP makes - so much easier and really motivating. I've managed to steadily lose an average of just under 1 lb a week over the past 6 months. So I'm 24 lb lighter, have dropped 2 dress sizes and reached target weight of 147lb (age 57, height 5 ft 7). I've not been working out much but I have walked a lot, fast. Now I feel fitter than I have done for past 20 years.

Fitbit gave me 1200 calories a day which didn't feel like enough, so I set my goal to 1300, (using sedentary for TDEE) and ate back all my Fitbit calories from exercise. Worked perfectly to deliver steady weight loss.

I'll still be monitoring with MFP and Fitbit to keep the weight off. Also need to work on the muscles, with some resistance training. But I'm happy for now.

This is really fantastic, well done on finding that motivation and sticking with it. I'm glad to hear you are feeling fit and good about yourself - that's the point of all this, so congratulations! :)
