Whole Grains? Protein alternatives?

Hey everyone,
While I'm sure this has been covered to some extent in various other forums, I wanted to start a new post to get the most up-to-date information as possible.
I am doing really well with my fitness, nutrition, and weight loss, but would also like to improve. I am not a big meat-eater and typically only eat chicken or turkey. To help supplement protein, I eat natural peanut butter, quinoa, and hummus. However, I know there are so many more healthy options out there for me... ideas?
I also am interested in some good suggestions for whole grain foods/items. I'm looking to incorporate them more into my diet.
Lastly, does anyone have fruit suggestions that DOESN'T overload MFP's sugar intake guide? It seems even if I have a piece of fruit, that's half my sugar for the day.
Any suggestions are truly appreciated! Thank you!

Use scooby's protein calculator to find an ideal complementary protein.

For fruit, berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, etc.) are lower in sugar than most fruits.0 -
Legumes (beans) and nuts are excellent vegetarian sources of protein. If you like fish that's good too.
I can't help you with the fruit thing... I just ignore the sugar counter since almost all of my sugar comes from fruit.0
