I'm not really a major fan of slim fast or shakes for that matter but i have noticed that i am getting really stuck for breakfast ... It's a real effort for me to eat anything in the morning , so just wanted to replace breakfast food with a slim fast shake now and again , not all the time : ) What do you think ?

You could do that...
Or you could just not have breakfast because you don't even really need it and just get your calories from the remaining meals in the day. Don't force yourself to have something you don't really like just to have a meal that you technically don't need if you are eating the right amount of calories anyway.0 -
I was drinking Slim Fast shakes for breakfast for a few weeks (and sometimes for a snack when my calories were too low). They curbed my hunger until lunch, but they have a lot of sugar. My weight stalled for two weeks, so I cut them, drank more water, and began to lose weight again.
I replaced the SF shakes with steel cut oats with diced apple (I make enough for several days and then just heat it up). I think the shakes are okay once in while, but personally I don't want to drink them all the time. Plus since SF costs almost $7.00 for 4 shakes, the oats are more economical.0 -

This doesn't work for me. I'm not that hungry in the morning, but get hungry before lunch... and since I work in an office loaded with junk food, I absolutely can't afford to get hungry there.0 -
Shakes for breakfast are good. Slimfast shakes, not so much.
I make my own and have that for breakfast most days. I can't usually stomach food until about 9am but if I don't have something before that I will snack all morning.0 -

OP already said that it was a real effort for her to eat anything in the morning, so my guess is that she doesn't get as hungry as you do in the morning or she wouldn't be trying to force feed herself something she doesn't even like. :flowerforyou:0 -

And going back to what the other poster said about the price of the shakes, I would imagine that it would be cheaper to make your own from protein powder and milk anyway.
I didn't even realize SlimFast cost that much anyway. Oi!0 -
I would suggest reading the label on Slimfast before you buy it, milk powder, sugars, gums & emulsifier. Really most of the nutrition is coming from the milk!!
If you aren't a breakfast person then a glass of milk and a multivitamin would be just as good IMO and save your calories for a meal you enjoy.0 -
You'd be better off buying diet protein powder or even just normal whey rather than slim fast, it would be sooo much cheaper with a hell of a lot less sugar!0

Prepare some grab and go breakfasts so you can have real food. I make my crustless quiches on the weekend and package them to grab as I run out the door. I know I have a nutritious breakfast and it's easy to take and eat.0
