Moving my scale around the house?

I've been weighing myself every morning but I'm always wondering if it's really accurate or not. Since I started losing weight I always weigh myself in front of the mirror in the same place. I started at 223.5 and today I reached 201.4, but then around 11 am I got to 200.4
I started wondering if it was really accurate so I moved my scale to the hallway and I was suddenly 202.8
I'm wondering what this would mean? I was really happy to see 200.4 but now I'm not sure its completely accurate
Has this happened to anyone else? If so which # did you log?

Not to sound like a dumb question, but you aren't setting it on carpeting, are you? Or are you always putting it on tile/hardwood?0

Probably muscle gains from moving the scale. Muscle weighs more than fat!!!
Or you stood on it differently. Scales are inaccurate and weight fluctuates all day. I would not weigh myself multiple times daily or even daily if I were you. Do it a few days apart at a consistent time. As long as the general trend is downward (if that's what you want), you are ok.0 -
umm stop every morning is obsessive down 21 Lbs! no gym0

Gravitation, or gravity, is the natural phenomenon by which physical bodies attract each other with a force proportional to their masses, and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. Depending on the contents of the Earth's crust under the position where you place the scale you could get different readings. Perhaps there's a large nickel ore deposit or a mass of uranium in the Earth under your kitchen and not under your bathroom. If the Earth is more dense in those places then there will be more mass and thus more attraction or gravitational pull on your body.0

If I want to weigh more, I can just get on my scale repeatedly over the course of a few minutes and gain 4 pounds. If I want to suddenly lose a couple pounds, I know where there's a soft spot on the floor.
Yes, all home scales are inaccurate to one degree or another. You are looking for overall weekly and monthly trends -- in my case, in the downward direction is always hoped for.0 -
Quit weighing yourself multiple times a day and obsessing over a number. Your weight will vary by as much as 5 lbs during the day based on your food intake, water intake, elimination, etc. Once a week, same day, same time, same place is good. Moving the scale around the house and weighing multiple times a day is not good.0

I understand. I only weighed myself more than once today because I was shocked to see such a low # (for me) lol.
I usually weigh myself every morning in the same place.
Thanks!
Btw I love your profile picture lol0 -
i kind of like my carpet, it always makes me at least 20 pounds lighter.. lol0

My scale goes all over the place depending on where I put it. I've found the only accurate place is the tile in the bathroom. Which is convenient0
