My Medical NSV

When I started this in January it wasn't to fit in an outfit, or anything like that. It was to live my life, to not be on home oxygen, to be able to stand up for 5 minutes without needing a breathing treatment. I'm 42 years old, and I'm way too young to be living as I was. I still have a long way to go, but every pound I lose puts me one step closer to being healthier and living longer to enjoy my kids, and granddaughter
Well had an awesome visit with my pulmonary doctor, his first words were "HOLY CRAP! You look GREAT!" which is much better then when he used to say "You might breath better if you lost weight", the rest of the visit went like this (well here's the stats)
Weight 51 lbs since I saw him at the end of December
BP in February was 131/104 - today 117/81
Resting Pulse Rate February 146 - today 91
Oxygen level February 92 - today 96.
And he said my breathing is the best I've sounded in over a year!
He lowered 3 of my 14 prescriptions by half and hopefully when I see him in 2 months he will lower or remove those. He didn't want to lower anything else yet as he's being cautious.
So I told him my goal before I see him on July 26th, is to lose another 25 lbs, which he wrote in my chart, he said if I come in under that goal he's not charging me for my visit!

That is such a great inspiration. Excellent effort on your part. I too am on here to lower my weight to get off my Blood Pressure pills, whose side effects are terrible for me. Your story provided me with hope, thanks for sharing. Cheering you on for your next visit. How often does one have the opportunity for a free doctors visit? Go You!0

Just keep on working towards that goal, force yourself to get up and move especially when you don't want to. You can get off those BP pills.0 -
