Shakeology

Anyone use shakeology (beach body site)? Tried for the first time this morning, chocolate. Tasted great, but I was very hungry w/in an hour (I have a sampler set of 4 packets). Has carbs in it, so that surprised me. Any takers? It's pricy, so want feedback before dropping a few hundred on it!

Where did you get samples from? I am interested in trying it but a sample would help convince me.

IMO I would just skip it and make my own shakes using actual food instead of powder.

What information did you get about it? I looked at their website and couldn't believe that they are real. None of their arguments make any sense based on human physiology.

Just friends who recommend, and it does taste GREAT! I got samples on ebay :-) It really tasted better than my normal EAS/Body Fortress protein powder mixed with whatever I throw in.

They sell those? I would think the coaches get them for free..tisk tisk:mad:

I have tried a sip of Shakeology and didn't like it. An old friend lost mad weight on it but complained it was boring.

I use Herbalife. I'm allowed to add a few things into my shakes so I can change up the flavor.
Sugar Free Syrups and SF Jellos are my favorite thing to add because I like sweets.
But there are other things like a little bit of graham cracker or soy sprinkles you can add.

If you like the taste of Shakeology, ask yourself if the price is the same as (or around) purchasing healthy food.

    Edit: deleted word.

I've tried it. It's ok, but considering the price it's not worth it to me. I can buy a good protein, a good mulitvitamin, and whatever other supplements I feel I need (fish oil, magnesium) for 1/3 of the cost.

Ideal Shape and 310 nutrition are less expensive and work better at keeping you feeling full. And taste better too ....

I love my shakeology! I am not a coach or any of that buisness. Let me know personally if you have any questions!

I've not personally tried shakeology, but I have seen people do it with very fast results. However, I've also seen those people balloon right back up after stopping them.

I guess what really matters is how you handle yourself after the fact (then again, I guess this can be said for any diet really.)

Not worth the money. I can't stand anything with aspartame, sucralose or stevia in it, though. I use unflavored whey isolate when I need an extra protein boost. Way better because I can mix it with anything from water to lemonade to smoothies.

I use Chocolate Vegan and Tropical Strawberry. It is expensive, but for me it is worth the cost. I eat 5-6 small meals a day and use this as a meal replacement. My only complaint is it does not have a full serving of protein. It is no "miracle" in a drink, but like everything else if you like it and it works for you it is worth it.

It better taste like unicorn jizz for what they charge.

There's nothing wrong with the product, but the marketing is way over the top ridiculous and the prices are insultingly stupid.

I drink it. Usually at night, as I've found that I get hungry if I have it for breakfast, too. Did you add anything to yours?

I usually add 1/2 a banana, and a bunch of spinach! Also, almond milk. The strawberry flavor is my favorite!

    ^This.

I've never tried Shakeology so I can't provide any feedback (sorry). But I recommend you compare nutritional value and see if you can't make something that's comparable on your own.

I used to buy all sorts of protein shake mixes from my local health food store. They were good but expensive and got boring after a while. For the last several months I've now been using fresh/frozen fruits, 1/2 cup to 1 cup of non-fat Greek yogurt and water. Throw all in a blender and its cheap, easy, filling and tasty. Good luck whatever you decide.

I have it for breakfast every day, I love it! I just do one scoop with 8 oz of almond milk and some ice coffee cubes. The beachbody plan suggests that you eat every 2-3 hours, so generally my day goes 8am shakeology, 1030- 100 cal snack, 1230-lunch (1/2 veggies, 1/4 carb, 1/4 protein), 3-100 cal snack, 530-6 dinner (again 1/2 veggies, 1/4 protein, 1/4 carbs). I went down to a 1200 calorie diet and it took a few days to get used to but I am hardly ever hungry and when I get my sugar from fruit and natural/low glycemic foods, I don't crave much.

The one thing I love about Shakeology is that after I took it for a week and then missed it for a day (traveling, no blender), my body was really really craving the good nutrients that I got from it. It's unlike anything I have experienced with any other kind of protein powder! Love it!

I've tried it before and wasn't that impressed. It's pricey and you could get a decent quality whey protein at a better price. You mentioned EAS and Body Fortress. I don't see anything wrong with those, but for taste, you'd need to buy a better quality whey protein.

Thanks! I'm a picky shake drinker, and jsut really loved the taste. Probably will spill down for the chocolate vegan and give it 30 days as my morning/after workout shake (would do it anyways). Every "coach" i know is not in my area, so woudl pay for shipping for samples anyways!

I've done a lot of research on this and I've decided to try it for a month. I ordered it off my BeachBody Coach (RobynMWilson on MFP) and she's great. I first started doing BeachBody workouts which I love (Chalean Extreme is amazing, soon starting P90X). I drink a protein shake most days so will replace my shake with this one and give it a go. I like that all the ingredients are all natural and I have heard that it does wonders for the digestive system and sinus infections (which I seem to get a lot of).

Where is beachbody getting it's all "natural" cyanocobalamin from?

I love my Shakeology. I just started my daily regiment of it on Sunday. I was very skeptical of it too. The first shake I had was disgusting. I choked down the first half and threw away the rest. Since then I have learned to try new recipes to find more variations of what I like. I usually add a banana and another fruit or yogurt to it too, and lots of ice, I like it better super cold.
