Eaten all of these without blinking an eye and also knowing exactly what I was doing.

    Some are gross, but harmless.

Some are not harmless, and I avoid eating those products.

However, the article seems to present info in an unnecessarily alarming and inflammatory way by excluding some context.

I don't think any of the animal bits are all that gross - why are we conditioned to think that some parts of an animal are good and others are not? It comes from the same animal. :/ Also, I thought the crushed beetles and coloring was pretty cool, in an evil Devil sort of way. 8D

#12 - Phosphoric acid: Occurs widely in nature and is found in a variety of plants and fruits (especially citrus fruits and berries), leaves, roots and in milk. It is also synthesized naturally in the metabolism of humans and other animals.

#7 - Lanolin: Not sure why this is disgusting.

#5 - Jello: When did collagen become gross?

#4 - Bones: Meh, same as collagen to me.

#2 - Beetles: I'm not a vegetarian so animal products don't bother me, even 'odd' ones.

Most of the ones I didn't list weren't even a big deal. I guess the only one I'd prefer not to ingest would be the "Beaver Stuff", human hair, sand, borax, and coal tar. Still, there was a complete lack of sources making this less than useful in real debate.
