If you ate what you wanted and exercised as much or as little as you wanted, what would happen? I could easily balloon from 200lb to 250lb in a month!!! What about you?

I'd go the other way and drop a stone or two :-/0

I ended reaching 357 before I realized I needed to make a change. My girlfriend threatened to leave me if I reached 375, I couldn't wear any of my nice clothes, depression from being over weight, and not viewed as attractive. I don't want to be obese anymore. Lost 40 lbs since April (20 of them on MFP since Sept.)0

I'm basically back at my starting weight now. And struggling with feelings of wanting to let go. The only thing keeping me from doing it is the realization that my starting weight, which is also my highest weight, is 225....if I let myself go...I'll easily end up at 250 or more within just a few months.
I'm not willing to set a new personal record for highest weight.0 -
I'd gain the 20+ that I worked my butt off to lose right back!0
-
I'd gain it all back overnight.0

To be honest, i think i will stay at the same weight or lose weight, our whole DIETS have changed, so even if i go out tomorrow and eat cake, its not going to be wheaty because wheaty makes me feel ill and its not going to be dairy because that does bad things to me too.
so... probably not a lot. i would feel rubbish though0 -
I'd also go the other way and drop. I'd end up back at my starting weight very quickly if I ate much less than what I do. within a month or 2 I think, depending on how much I went below what I currently eat.0

I did that for the most part, gained 15lbs.
I'd continue gaining 3-5 lbs a year0 -
Exactly what happened 5 years ago. I lost 40 lbs...did absolutely nothing and gain it all back. I vowed to never ever let it happen again. I workout six days a week and weigh in every day. I don't care what people think about my weighing in every day. I know what it takes for me to stay on the horse this time. I also look at my old before pics every now and then to remember why I needed to get into shape in the first place. I'm loving life and where my body and mind is right now. The thought of turning back is completely repulsive.0

People say to me all the time your always on a diet and my answer is IF I DID NOT WATCH WHAT I EAT I WOULD A OBESE PERSON BECAUSE I HAVE AN APPETITE OF A HORSE. All my life I have had huge appetite but the most I have ever weighed is 165, I am 5'2' tall so I will never let myself go, because I know how hard it is to take weight off especially now that I am 59 metabolism not what it once was.0

Last time I found that could gain 10 pounds a month.0

"letting myself go" is a matter of about 5lbs. Because honestly, I'm a pretty healthy eater 90% of the time.
And it's pretty ingrained in me now.0 -
I don't know...
Because I'm never going to let that happen.0 -
I already am eating and exercising as much and/or as little as I want. I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't want to. I don't always enjoy every minute of it, but it's what I want.0
-
I would probably gain and not realize it for a while. That's exactly how I gained my weight in the first place and why logging is critical for me.0
-
I would probably gain about 5 - 10 lbs I don' t want that to happen0
-
I'd gain about 25-30lbs and be at my body's coasting weight. Blech.0

No more water, only Pepsi! And junk food all the time....mmmm. And who wants to work out? It feels so much better to snuggle on the couch under a blanket with a good book!
The answer to this for me is quite simple - I'd gain, and quickly. A lot. I'm at a point now where even if I have a bad day and can't work out or don't feel up to it, I have a lot of guilt. I'd rather have the guilt, and then the endorphins from working out after, then the momentary feel good moment of snuggling...0 -
Sour gummy worms. So many sour gummy worms.0

Sour gummy worms. So many sour gummy worms.
Mmmmm... I love them so much. Until they erode the entire inside of your mouth. :laugh:0 -
already have! nothing bad happened i gained lots of weight mostly from quitting smoking and i don't have to get all dressed up to go outside.0
-
I would probably be sick. I can't hang with food the way that I used to.0
-
nothing I know my body now..I know what I can and can not do, so I do not worry about that at all...0

I know exactly what you mean! I'm 5'2" as well but only 25. This is the 2nd time in my life I've had to lose weight. The first was at uni when I was 19 and I was 140lbs and got back down to 119. This time I ended up at 147 and I'm now 125 working towards 119.
It's so hard being short because even the smallest amount of extra weight can make you look or be overweight.
Maintenance is going to be a permanent for me. I never want to be overweight again!0 -
I gained 25 lbs in 3 months, I gained 3 lbs in 1 week before. I'd probably be obese now if I didn't stop.0
-
I was there in December (2012) and I won't ever be there again!0
-
I gained 22kgs! Over a span of a few years. Kids didn't help. Yes, I will blame the offspring :bigsmile:0
-
I got up to 360 pounds.... and that was with still exercising SOME restraint believe it or not! If I had just completely given in, I could be 500+ pounds.0
-
I eat how I want and exercise how I want ,so probably the same.0
