Not a good time

Well my wife has finally come to the same decision as me,. I believe we are going to put our cat to sleep. This hasn't been a fun decision. But, the cat is suffering. We have taken to the vet three times and to two different vets. They don't know what is wrong with her. She won't eat, she doesn't have any energy and her nose bleeds. She is probably 11 or 12 years old. So I guess that is what I get to look forward to this week. I am not looking forward to the actual deed or explaining what is going to a 4 year old girl. Fortunately, the cat never liked the kids. So she was afraid of the cat.

On another side we have a stray that we feed every night. She is expecting kittens.

    Even though you do what you need to do, it is not easy. Pets work their way into your heart. My thoughts are with you.

    So sorry that this is happening to your family, and your poor cat. What a heartbreaking decision. But, it sounds like it's the best one you can make for her. When it comes time, do yourself a favor and do NOT leave her. Hold her if they let you while they give the injection. It'll be so hard, but you won't ever regret that part. And you'll know that you did everything you possibly could for her, even to the very end. {{{{{hugs}}}}}

    Hey there,

    My old cat had to be put down before christmas, It was terrible however i found peace in thinking that i was relieving her from any pain or suffering she may of had. My cat was exactly the same age as yours - its VERY old for a cat! It wont be easy, but just remember she will be in peace!

    My thoughts are with you.

    Last June we had to put down our old dog he was 16...and doing fine right up to the end. It wasn't a hard choice. I still got sad, we had that dog when we were dating it was kind of the end of an era. I hope all goes well for you I don't know about you kids but mine accepted it. they were 3 and 4 at the time we gave them the whole truth and they accepted it. Good luck!
