Doctor Woes

I'm keeping a REALLY long story really short here, so if anything is unclear, let me know.
In 2002, I weighed about 106 lbs. I wasn't grossly underweight, but I definitely needed to put some on, both in muscle and body fat. I wasn't doing anything to lose weight or stay at a low weight, that was just my body's set point at that time.
Then, in 2004, I started working out because I found it helped greatly with a chronic pain condition. The next time I saw the doctor, I was around 118. He *****ed at me for "rapid weight gain" and ordered a battery of tests. If you ask me, 118 is what I'm "supposed" to weigh, give or take a couple pounds. I had curves instead of the disgusting, repugnent, flabby, unsightly, embarassing muffin top I have now, and some nice muscle definition.
I moved to the city I live in summer of 2008, and when I started seeing him I was around 128, my highest weight. I've been doing MFP for almost a month, and I'm now around 122-124, depending on what I've eaten or drank or what time of the month it is. NOW I'm being yelled at for "rapid weight loss".
Don't know if anyone can offer me any advice (but if they could, I'll take it), just needed to vent more than anything, I guess.

Blimey, that doctor sounds like a bundle of fun. Get a second opinion, you can do without that everytime you see him!0

It's unanimous--It is time for a NEW DOCTOR!!!!0

Yeah, see, that's just it. I can't. He's a pain management specialist, and my insurance will only take one other clinic in town... with a 7 month wait list.

You may have to just be honest and straightforward with him and tell him exactly what you're feeling. That all this b***ing at you isn't helping your self image and whatever you try to do whether it's to lose weight or put some on he has a gripe about. As long as you are faithful to yourself with your diet and exercise and are doing your best to stay healthy you can basically tell him to kiss it. That's just my opinion from having to deal with doctors who like to hear themselves talk. Good luck.0

Since you can't leave 'em, I like solvig's advice as the next best solution. Good luck!!0
