Does anybody pull and kid trailer with a mountain bike?

I'm moving to a new house and I will be within biking distance of a major paved trail. I have 3 kids, but the youngest one is home all day. I would like to get a bike trailer, but didn't know how difficult it would be to pull the weight of the trailer (45 lbs) plus the weight of my son (another 45 lbs) with a mountain bike. Anybody?

ETA: Sorry about the typo in the title. :)

My mom runs a day home and often pulls three kids in her bike trailer. It can definitely be done.

I have a trailer that can hold 100 lbs. i use to pull my son who was 60 lbs and my daughter who was 27 with a bike from target. It was doable on a flat road. Impossible on big hills, but it was a great workout. Now i am just waiting for my littlest to be old enough so i can use the trailer with her.

I have pulled SO MANY KIDS!! All ages, all sizes. It's a fantastic work out and let me tell you, when you're use to hauling kids in the bike trailer, when you go out solo, it feels sooooooo easy, lol!

Actually I've pulled a four year old, a three year old in the trailer and then the three year old's twin in a bike seat. Oh my gosh EXHAUSTING! lol I averaged a hundred pounds of kids alone plus the weight of the seat and trailer to boot!

Go for it!!! My kids LOVED when I hauled them!

Its no problem, especially if you already ride once in a while. Non-paved trails can be hard on kids and a really difficult for you though.

I did a mountain bike, trail a bike (5yr old) and trailer (3yr old + groceries). Ditching the bike train for a solo seat & baskets was a huge difference.
