Dieting mums?

I find it hard to fit everything in with being a mum and working etc. I would love to go to the gym but can't as I don't have a child minder and I work a lot. I try to exercise at home at night when I'm not too tired lol. Would be nice to have other friends in the same situation to support each other. Feel free to add me. Only joined just over a week ago and could use the motivation!

I stay at home, but I also find it difficult to get the exercise time I need (too expensive to join a gym and no one to watch my kids)! I've been using MFP for almost 9 months, so I know it works with consistency! I haven't exercised a ton other than walking, but watching calories and portions and eating better quality food makes a HUGE difference. You can do it!0

That's great to know! I try and walk at the weekend if it's not raining. I'll keep trying to do some exercise even if it's only a we bit. I'll have to make sure and stick to the diet as I won't be burning loads off! I find tracking everything I eat has made a huge difference already and helps me with the portion control too! Well done on your weight loss! You look great. x0

The great thing about MFP is even if you can't get the workouts in consistently logging should help you lose. I stay home with my kids so I have the opportunity when they nap to workout, or I jog with them in the stroller. It's whatever you can fit in! Sometimes I do workout at 9 or 10 at night, it's not my favorite, but it keeps my momentum going0

I am a busy mamma I work full time 40-50hrs a week! 2 children, 5 & 3 and also have one big baby (husband) as well. I know how you feel I am always tired.. ugh I get off at 6:30pm and all I wanna do is plop on the couch and lounge watching TV. Haha few questions what do you do on your days off? Do you have stairs in your home? Also!! What about exercise videos or any particular dance you like doing?0

I'm the same. I leave the house at 7.30am and don't get home till near 7pm!! and then in to do pack lunches and sort school uniform etc for the next day!! When i'm finished I just want to watch T.V and relax!! I'm off at the weekends but that's when I have to do shopping and take my daughter to swimming lessons etc and try to catch up on the housework!! Weekends are normally quite busy. I have a couple of exercise DVDs and an exercise bike . . and i do have stairs Its just getting the motivation to do exercise at 9pm at night!! I don't feel like I have enough time to relax and unwind at night and then I'm back to work in the morning! How do other people do it! lol. I'll have to try harder! Or maybe get up earlier. If anyone has any ideas for fun workouts that can be done at home let me know xx0
