Is Anyone Else Currently Doing Medi?

I feel like my life has been given back to me.
I just did my 3rd/3 weeks weigh in at the office and as of this morning I've lost 17.4 lbs.
I went a little rogue and am definitely eating higher fat (pork bacon vs. turkey bacon this week, full eggs versus whites) and my energy level has skyrocketed and I lost 3.5 lbs of bodyfat this week (6.6 lbs in total).
But for the most part I'm closely adhering to the nutritional/supplementation guidelines given to me with lots of lean protein, the veggies etc, packing my little meals, carrying my 100 oz water jug....and man, I feel better than I've felt in two years. I've reduced the use of the appetite suppressant because I'm not into taking unecessary prescriptions.
I finally feel like I've regained control of my body and truly feel supported.
If you are also doing Medi PLEASE feel free to add or chat with me.

Congrats on your weight loss so far! I assume Medi is a weight loss clinic or something of the sorts. I've not used a clinic or anything like that, but I have had much success by seeing my dietician every month and my doctor for blood work and medication adjustments and discontinuing medications.
I believe everyone's path is probably different but we all have the same goal. To get healthier and lose weight. I'm one of those people that feel that whatever you find works for you, then by all means you should continue in that way.
The only thing that I think we all should strive for is, that whatever program we follow, we need to ask ourselves if we can sustain it for life.
Good luck with your journey and continued success.0 -
Hey- thanks for the response.
I am kind of scared because from having watched these boards I was fairly certain it would be shouted down because of the "crash diet" aura.
I'm really happy because of the weekly accountability- weighing in and having my measurements taken with a NP every week has given me so much relief. The neurosis of daily weighing and not knowing what numbers mean has been replaced by knowing exactly what they mean and the reassurance of having someone there to explain to me that everything is okay and that I'm doing a good job. I don't know what that says about me as an adult but I like the authority aspect lol. If a doctor says "okay its time to bring your BMI into a healthy range, lets focus on doing that right now" its meant to me that I can trust that I can actually do it without fail....and I've been able to do what I need to do in terms of my eating practices and exercise.
Thank you for your thoughts and encouragement and I hope to also hear from anyone who is doing it too!0 -
Are you saying that in 3 weeks you've lost 6.6 lbs of fat and 10.8 lbs of lean mass? Or did I misunderstand your post? I'm glad you've found something that makes you feel good and in control etc, but losing that much lean mass would be a big worry to me.0

No, I'm saying in 3 weeks I've lost 17.4 lbs total. I've reduced 1% body fat, 1 BMI point in 3 weeks.
This morning when I was weighed and given my analysis the NP said I lost 3.5 lbs of body fat and 3.1 lbs of water in the past 7 days.
In the previous weigh-in 1 week prior I'd only lost 1 lb of scale weight but had reduced 3 lbs of body fat.0 -
Congrats on your results. It's a lifestyle change. I've had excellent success in the past. It works and really helps you to modify your relationship/behavior with food and eating. The clinic now allows purchase of the supplements on-line so this time I'm approaching the program on my own.0
