Hi MFP'ers,

My name's Aaron, and I've transitioned over to MFP from the Weight Watchers online program, and I've been pretty happy so far. I really like the nutrient breakdown, and I think it's a better approach to be more accurate vs using "points" to round calories up or down. I started eating better at New Year's, and I'm in for the long haul!

Hey, Aaron! It sounds like you're already off to a great start! I, too, want to stay as healthy as possible for my kids. I used to just eat whatever I wanted and exercise off the calories. But then I had surgery and had to be inactive for a couple of months. So I got out of the habit of exercising AT ALL. And I overindulged all the time... Bad habits led to an extra 25 pounds in less than 2 years. EEK! Like you, I made a resolution at the beginning of the year to change my unhealthy ways. I watched "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" which hit home because I have an autoimmune disease and then "Hungry for Change", which changed my mental attitude a lot. Both films are on NetFlix if you have access. Good stuff. Motivational! Glad we're MFP friends. Congratulations on the baby on the way!
