Have you looked at using a SwimSense sensor? (http://swimsense.finisinc.com/swimsenselog/index) you can log your swims to RunKeeper and sync them to Fitbit with SyncMetrics (http://www.syncmetrics.com) Not sure about HR though


in another post I found on the site someone said it was good till 1 meter but I would call them and ask just incase
