Could i be developing an allergy to walnuts?

I got home around 1:30am this morning from hanging out with my friends and i Do remember my friend giving us brownies around 12 am and I ate 2. I did notice the walnuts and I can't remember when i last ate a walnut, but im pretty sure nothing happened and I eat regular peanuts a lot because its like my favorite snack. Anyways, around 3, i started feeling numbness around the right side of my face(like the tingly kind, i can still slight feel stuff and temperature) and lips. But the inside of my mouth is completely fine and stuff. Around 5am, I could feel the tingly numbness developing in the left of my face and my right arm and sometimes my back. Now at 11:28am i can feel it in my face, right arm, my scalp and sometimes in my right leg. But im not sure if its getting better in my face or if im just imagining it. Im really scared! I thought it mightve been a mini stroke or something! But its been almost 12 hours since i ate it! Shouldn't the symptoms be going away? Idk anything about allergies because i've never been allergic to anything, but i heard you can develop allergies? So please help! Should i go to the doctor soon? My condition is somewhat stable.

Oh and could it be because we were drinking alcohol as well? I drank tequila for the first time(Jose cuervo). But i only had a shot of the stuff.

Dude, if it's a legit question, what the hell are you doing on a forum asking random people about it? Go to the doctor stat!!!

I'm not exactly an expert on allergies, but with a son whose list of foods he can't have is as big as the list he can have (and that's by putting obscure foods on the can-have list like cassava and chia seeds), I would say I know something about it.

And what you are describing does not sound like any allergic reaction I've ever heard of.

What I would do if I were you and couldn't leave the house would be to call someone who is in the medical profession and ask about it. Do you have insurance? If so, your insurance may have a nurse advice line. If not, you might be able to find an advice line at some clinic somewhere near you. Describe what you're feeling and ask what they would recommend you do now and once your father gets home.

And next time, skip the alcohol. My guess is that your body just isn't ready for that. It's not good for you anyway.

Also, true allergic reactions usually start in well under 12 hours. Eczema would be the exception (though if it is food related, it's due to sensitivities, not allergies--and I'm not going to explain the difference right now), but things like hives, asthma, and anaphylactic shock usually show up within seconds to minutes.

I really doubt it to be anything stroke related. It would all be on one side of your body. Just go to the doctor and get checked out.

Whether you are allergic to walnuts or not have nothing to do with you being able to eat peanuts, peanuts are not nuts, they are legumes and most everyone that is allergic to tree nuts are not allergic to peanuts.

That being said - GO TO DOCTOR!

Also if you think its an allergy try taking a recommended dosage of benadryl because if it is a tree nut allergy the benadrly will likely help until you can get to doctor.
