Focus on your success

The weekends can be a hard time for many when trying to stick with a clean diet, healthy way of life. We sometimes want to let it all go and get in the mind set of we thinking we deserve a "break" or a weekend full of treats. Why not think of it as deserving to be healthy? It's not a punishment to continue to eat clean and stick with your workouts on the weekend. Don't you feel better when you do this? So why not feel better and stick with it. Think of the simple things that refresh you and you consider a "break" or clean treat. Use those and then remember your successes over the weekend. Be they big or small focus on those!!! When faced with having a soda and you choose ice cold water with lemon or lime in it... SUCCESS! When faced with sleeping in or getting up when the alarm goes off and working out.... SUCCESS! When you stay with your eating every few hours instead of skipping meals and then overeating on the next meal.... SUCCESS!! When going outside with your family to play in the yard or take a walk instead of sitting on the couch... SUCCESS!!! Little things can be a success too. Doesn't that excite you more to think in terms of your small successes than what you didn't do right over the weekend? Try it!!!
